Club Car Golf Carts manufactured after 1981 will have their serial numbers positioned just under the glove box on the passengers side of the vehicle.  You will need this serial number to identify the year of your Club Car. 

Identify Club Car Model & Year

Locate the Club Car Serial Number: 

• Inside or under the passenger side glove box – Precedent (2004 & up)
• Under the passenger side glove box – DS (1981 & up)
• Under the driver side seat on the frame – Pre-DS (1975-1980)

Look at the serial number to determine the model and year of your Club Car golf cart: 

1 -  The 1-2 letter(s) at the beginning of the cart's serial number indicate the model of your Club Car golf cart (see list below.)

2 - The two numbers, directly AFTER the letters indicate the model year of your Club Car golf cart.  The next 2 numbers indicate what week of the year, your cart was manufactured.

3 - The final six digits are your cart's unique identification number. 

Examples:

• If the first three digits of the serial number are “A00”, you own a 2000 Club Car - Precedent DS  Electric.
  • A - Indicates this unit is a Club Car Precedent DS  Electric (using the list of models below.)
  • 00 -  Indicates this unit was manufactured in 2000

• If the first four digits of the serial number are “PR09”, you own a 2009 Club Car Precedent i2.
  • PR - Indicates this unit is a Club Car Precedent i2,  Gasoline FE-350 (using the list of models below.)
  • 09 - Indicates this unit was manufactured in 2009
